      CORE 11A:
      Core 11A was collected in water with a of 4.7 m (15.5ft) (Table 1) and was
      226cm (90in) long (Figures 11-13). A total of 9 grain size samples were taken at depths
      of 1-10cm (0.4-3.9in), 51-60cm (20-23.6in), 61-70cm (24-27.6in), 71-80cm (28-31.5in),
      101-110cm (39.3-49.8in), 131-140cm (51.6-55.1in), 151-160cm (59.4-63in), 181-190cm
      (71.3-74.8in) and 201-210cm (78.7-82.7in). The
      grain size analyses revealed that the top 60cm (23.6in) of the core contained between 55
      to 91% sand with a mean grain size ranging from 0.150mm (2.7phi) to 0.055mm (4.1phi).
      From 60cm (23.6) to the bottom of the core, percent sand was over 81% and mean grain
      size was at least 0.031mm (5.0phi) (Tables 8&9). Sand and shell weights are shown in
      Table 9. Percent shell, sand, silt and clay are shown in Table 10. Median grain size,
      mean grain size, skewness and sorting index are shown in Table 11. Graphs of the results
      are located in Figures 14-17.
      It was determined that core 11A had approximately 226cm (90in) of sediment that
      contained at least 50% sand, of which 100cm (39.4in) was located at less than 1m
      (39.4in) depth.
      The average grain size in the upper 1m (3.28ft) was determined to be 0.0990mm.
